LISLE, Ill. Mar. 4, 2015 – KONE has appointed Jon Barr as head of global development, Americas as of Sunday, March 1. As part of the role, he will report to the company’s CIO and lead KONE’s global development operations in the Americas, while continuing his responsibilities for Americas business process development. Barr’s combined role will integrate key Americas business processes with global operations. He will serve as a member of both the KONE Americas leadership team and the company’s global development management team.
Over the past 17 years, Barr has served in various leadership roles at KONE, most recently as director of business processes in KONE Americas. Prior to joining KONE, Barr worked as a manager with Accenture

Terhi Salminen, KONE America’s previous head of global development, will support Barr in the transition and will continue her duties as KONE’s head of management and support processes within global development.
